Walt has worked very hard on getting the home and RV in good shape. Soon all we will need to do is fill up the gas tank (shudder -- how much will 100 gallons of diesel fuel cost this time???)
My checklist includes travel documentation, clothing, food and supplies. Most of the items are checked off. Here is an example of items needed:
- Health Certificates for dog & cat
- passports, vehicle registrations, proof of insurance
- rubber boots for the mud
- long-johns and layers for ANY kind of weather we encounter
- camera, binoculars, Audobon Field Guide
- laptop computer
- cords & cables for all the electronic stuff we have to charge or connect to the computer
- books & DVDs for those remote areas of wilderness where we have no TV or phone
- a sense of awe & wonder of the natural beauty that awaits us
