Bedrooms
I used a nautical theme throughout the house. I really like how the bedrooms came out. The blue bedroom is the guest room and the heron room is our bedroom.

I Finally Figured out Photos
Today they are leveling sand and laying pavers. It seems to go very fast. I'll publish photos later.
I did bring some posts up-to-date since 1/22/10.

Light Showers
We awoke to soft rain this morning. The birds were really happy and noisy so we didn't expect it to last long. We have doves, cardinals, blackbirds, woodpeckers and mockingbirds. They can be pretty noisy at times.
The rain is over and expect to have temperatures in the 70's.

Almost a Month in Florida
Hard to believe that we have been here almost a month -- also no tan for me. Medications say to avoid direct sun so I try to soak up the early and late rays.
Walt & friends spent yesterday installing our front storm door. It is a full view with the top panel of glass sliding down and followed by a roll screen. A nice choice for someone with pets to have the screen on the top and glass on the bottom.
Last night he put together 4 1950's style Retro metal side tables for the porch. Today he started on the chairs. He has 4 shell-back Retro chairs to put together. Then comes the double glider. Should look spiffy on the porch.
I have been balancing our checking accounts the last two days. Have almost caught up with the transactions since 4/30/09 when I went to the hospital for surgery. Nothing was done with the accounts until after I got out of the hospital in January. I just didn't keep up while I was on chemo. Walt kept bills paid and that had to suffice.
Enjoying a cool but sunny day.

How Much Fun Can You Have on $10?
We spent about an hour at the Farmers Market. For my $10, I came away with a loaf of beautiful Artisan Whole Grain Bread, 2 cucumbers, a nice bunch of green onions (large), 2 green peppers and a pint of large strawberries. Oh, and lots of fun looking.
By the way the market was at the Promenade not the Prada.

Saturday Chores
It rained HARD yesterday afternoon & evening. Windy too. That appears to be past and partly sunny today. It's 48 degrees now. The sun is bright.
Maggie & I are going to the Farmer's Market and craft show at the Prada.
Walt is getting ready to turn of the water to finish the outdoor water spigot.
This afternoon we'll play cards and do some grocery shopping.

Brick shopping
Walt got up early and headed to N. Fort Myers to look at pavers. We hope to get them picked out and laid next week. We will have them along the east (front door) side, along the north (road) side and along the south (patio & shed) side.
They just walked in the door and had a successful trip.
I'm looking forward to having a level walking surface.
We have someone looking at our ceiling fans. Only some work and not all at the same the time.
Another day in Paradise.
Am anjoying phone calls and notes from everyone. All our phone numbers ring down here. Our mail is forwarded and you may use : 3834 Cardinal Circle, Bonita Springs, FL 34134 until early April.

Laundry Day
This new washer & dryer is really a treat. It has made me forget the #1 rule of hanging out laundry - Out by early morning, in by early afternoon. I washed a sweater and laid it out on the porch table. This morning, it was just about as wet as when I set it out!
About this flagpole thing -- Walt will be hanging a US flag and a Kansas flag. I have no plans for daring tricks and I doubt that I would draw an audience.

Starting another week
Hard to believe we have been here 3 weeks. Feel pretty settled in.
It was cold this morning (47) and windy. Is 60 and sunny but the wind persists.
Walt played horseshoes this morning. He's napping on the couch.

37th Anniversary
Yesterday was our anniversary. Walt had worked hard under the house stringing wire for his shed. Inside I worked around the sound system installers.
Nice to have the TV installation complete.
We went to a new restaurant for dinner - Walt had pork carbonara and I had lobster ravioli. Followed with Chocolate Madness Extreme Cake. WOW!
Today I am just doing some laundry and watching Narnia on the new system.
Oh also it's 72 degrees!
