A Windy Day

What a nice night for sleeping - until 4:30 am. The wind picked up and the temperature dropped. I got up and closed the windows to stop the shades from banging in the wind. By 8 am it had dropped to about 50 degrees and the wind was stronger. It was time for the furnace.

We waited until mid-morning before heading out - north on I-29, then west on I-90. First headwinds then in the side as the wind came mainly from the northwest.

We traveled as far as Oacoma, SD. It was a beautiful place to stop. We had a view of the Missouri River (Lake Lucille Case) in the distance out our back window. Al's Oasis was within walking distance. It has a great restaurant, gift shop, clothing, groceries, etc.
