Went over to Mount St Helens to visit and be tourists. They had seventy mile per hour wind. We turned around and will continue back on Saturday. (no guts)
Several small towns in the area to investigate. One with a grist mill still in operation. Another town called Battle Ground! Seems the postmaster named it to draw tourists (no battlefields). Several lakes, vineyards & horse farms. Will also see Vancouver WA. They have a big farmer's market in operation that we will visit and fruit up!
Seems like these two fellows Lewis and Clark were here before us and possible that they have left a larger legacy. Bet we are leaving more money for the economy tho! Lots more to investigate.
We just heard on the news that there is a large fire in the mountains and have evacuated 2,000 campers. This is not close to us as at this time. 93 degrees yesterday and more for today and Sunday. This will not help to put out fire!
Hoping all get to enjoy the Labor Day holiday. --Walt
