This was our view most of the day and at the trainyard when we reached Creel.We traveled 12-18 mph. We covered 70.2 miles and pulled into Creel about 1pm.
We took a bus tour to the Tarahumara Indian Museum. Then into the surrounding area to see rock formations, Horseshoe Lake and some cave dwellings.
We were not able to visit a cave dwelling because of the mud & rain. Here is a photo of one of the caves where the mother & children were hanging out laundry and cooking a meal outside. Notice that the cave does have a door and enclosed entryway.
Then we went to the Best Western Hotel in town where they had Margaritas lined up for the group.
