We had the truck serviced this morning and spent the afternoon walking in downtown Anchorage. We have travelled 5700 miles since leaving home.
We ate lunch at Sullivan's Steakhouse (named for John L Sullivan). Our waiter thought we are so lucky to be from Kansas --
There is a lot of construction in downtown but we were able to get around well. Especially liked the Fifth Avenue Mall, a 5 story mall anchored by Nordstroms.
The plantings are so pretty. The hanging baskets so full and beautiful. Petunias are about 4" across. This photo shows vegetables planted with begonias and impatiens. The cabbage was about 6' across. This endless daylight is good for growing plants.
We saw "Aurora" at the Performing Arts Center. It was a photo film about the Aurora Borealis. It was beautiful.
