Haines Jct to Muncho Lake

Just when you think the road is getting better, you round a curve and there is a herd of bison in the road!

We started early but still ran into rough roads and construction. We made 549 miles today and are staying at Strawberry Flats Provincial Park in Muncho Lake, British Columbia.

The bottom two photos are of the lake. The last of the photos is the view out our back window in dusk. Such a beautiful place.

Wildlife spotting was good today, especially bears. We saw 10 bears -- one Grizzly, two brown bears (Mom & cub) and 7 black bears. We also saw a red fox, bison, deer, Arctic squirrel, moose and loons.

The Yukon and B.C. have shown us the most abundant wildlife.
