We drove US 89 along the east side of Glacier Park.
The day started warmer and sunnier than we've seen while in the Glacier area.
We really enjoyed having the road almost to ourselves.
The Rockies are inside Glacier Park and the lake is St. Mary Lake (see Saturday for a photo of St. Mary Lodge).
I finally got a photo of one of the sculptures on the Blackfeet Reservation. It is made of salvaged auto parts -- horse's eyes are hubcaps, warriors breast plates are grille emblems & chrome, etc.
It was a beautiful drive and we went through Canadian Customs at the port of Carway, Alberta.
There were three vehicles ahead of us so an agent came out and directed us to the outside inspection lane. We thought maybe we were singled out for inspection. He was very nice,
Our destination for the day was Cardston, Alberta. In total, we traveled 97 miles today. We are settled into the Lee Creek Campground and toured the Remington Carriage Museum this afternoon.
Tomorrow we will drive to Waterton Lakes Provincial Park which is the Canadian side of the International Peace Park. Glacier National Park is the US side.
