The Great Alaskan Adventure

We enjoyed having Rachel come for the weekend. Spent last evening at Lake Perry with Tim, Breann and Caden. We all had fun.

We were up early. Rachel had to leave for the airport at 6:30 am.

After she left, we got busy and finished loading the RV and shutting up the house. Then on the road.

Drove to a little over 400 miles to Mitchell, South Dakota where we are spending the night. It was good weather and nice scenery. There was lots of water standing in fields along I-29 and I-90. Looks like they've had plenty of rain.

About 10 miles east of Mitchell, we saw the Obama buses headed east on I-90. He had just finished speaking at the Corn Palace in Mitchell. Several people at the campground had been to hear him speak.

Day One was excellent -- 120 more days to follow!

We hope you have a safe and terrific adventure. The boys are very sad that we never managed to catch up with you during your time back home... just too busy w/ trips to KC, Chris working OT, and all else. Look forward to 'traveling w/ you' on this roadtrip. See you in the Fall!
